KVS Vision and Mission
To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education; To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education; To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Regional Office Jammu
Nearly 63 years of its existence, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan- an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, has grown into a vibrant organization catering to the educational needs of more than 13 lakh students studying in 1289 Kendriya Vidyalayas located in different parts of the country as on 1.1.2026 (For details: http://kvsangathan.nic.in) KV Sangathan Regional Office Jammu is one of the 25 Regional Offices of Kendriya Vidyalayas having administrative control of 40 Kendriya Vidyalayas (Defence-14, Civil-22 and Project-4) spread over the State of Jammu & Kashmir. It came into existence in 1984. It is located near Gandhi Nagar Hospital Jammu. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region is mandated to oversee the functioning of the KVs in the UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. At present, 40 KVs are functioning under its jurisdiction.
